The majority of renewable energy in Germany is now owned by citizens or farmers, and not utility companies. This totals ~$100 billion worth of private investment in renewable energy and accounts for 20% of all of Germany’s electrical power.
They produce 17GW a year from solar panels and wind turbines, compared to America’s incredibly embarrassing 3.6GW.
This is how you do things properly people, especially here in Australia where abundant space, as well as sunlight and wind are hardly scarce resources.
