This kid was struck by lightning and survived. Unfortunately, or fortunately if you’re into body unique modifications, along with the lightning strike he received this permanent scar that looks like an evolutionary tree (pretty cool in my opinion at least). They’re known as Lichtenberg scars, or figures.

How cool. Reminds me of when I studied graftals back at uni.

derr look at me graftals at uni
If only there was a way to get these without being hit by lightning, because they’re f*ckin’ awesome.

Somehow, increase the temperature of the blood in your vessels in one part of your body, while leaving the remaining tissue intact. My guess.
Wonder how many people will start getting these tattooed on now to have something to talk about while they’re drunk?
Dats wat I said when I saw it

They only last a few hours. Not permanent at all.
from what i can tell these things are temporary, and they would be red as it’s the blood vessels bursting that creates the image. The above image is fake.
@Aj – there always has to be some idiot claiming “fake!”
The most basic web search will turn up scores of other examples of this scarring, perhaps they’re all fake too.
This is fake, whether or not you find that “idiotic” (or more likely, disappointing). Lichtenberg flowers are red, temporary, lighter at the edges, and not raised — that one’s a scarification. Compare it to the photos of these in medical journals.
Orly?
