Peter G. Palumbo, the Democrat in the Rhode Island House from the Cranston district, was recently caught calling one of his constituents, Jessica Ahlquist, an “evil little thing” who was “being coerced by evil people”.
This idiot needs to apologise for his disgusting remarks. Better yet, he needs to lose his next election! Feel free to contact him like I have by email, or call his office!

Just thought I’d mention that Hemant Mehta of the Friendly Atheist blog has set up a fundraiser to collect money for a college scholarship for Jessica Ahlquist (thanks to tinstag for showing me). Apparently it’s already raised $15000 from 600 donations. So spread the word, and better yet donate, to support this wonderful young lady’s future!

Jessica Ahlquist has won her lawsuit against her school for displaying a religious prayer on a banner openly in her school. Hemant Mehta has written up a thorough post on things, which I recommend you read if you’re hearing this good news for the first time! Congratulations Jessica!
